How did I miss this? A new clothing store opened on South Lake in December 2016—and I’m loving the name: Marvallure. An actual combination of marvelous and allure. Neat, huh? Not only that, but its mission is to “empower women to embrace their style.” Talk about a win-win. 

Marvallure officially launched December 17, 2016 by owner Asmi Rawal, who grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since she was young, Rawal dreamed of being a part of the fashion industry. Today, with the opening of her first boutique, she’s making that dream come true. 

Travel and an early love of fashion enriched her passion of style and clothing. Mixed with a desire to empower women, Marvallure was born. “In every continent [I visited], I saw the impact style had on the women around me. At every turn, no matter the place in the world, clothing sets women free,” says Rawal. 

Inside, the shop is minimalistic; however, this allows the clothing to pop. Bright colors and bold prints fill the racks. From dresses and jackets to tops and pants, there’s something here for every woman. After all, “By offering a stylish curated collection of beautiful and well-made clothes and accessories, Marvallure seeks to empower women to embrace their own style and unleash all they can be.” #yes. 

Prices are a little steep—average seems to be around $115—but the pieces are well made and beautiful. Like this 100% silk top with flirty bell sleeve details. Or this bold navy, black, and white graphic dress that’s the perfect alternative to the LBD.
