Happily Wear After: a children’s resale store plus so much more.

Readers, this post is a bit of a deviation from my usual shopping posts; but when I stumbled upon this adorable children’s resale boutique up near Hill and Washington (have you seen this up-and-coming corner of north Pasadena? Here and here.) I just had to write about it. Its name? Happily Wear After.

The resale clothing boutique began when a new mom realized there were certain things all parents needed: “a store to find affordable and quality children essentials”; “a place to bring your child…to engage in fun and stimulating actives”; and “somewhere to meet and interact with other parents.” Thus? Happily Wear After.

What gets my attention the most is not only does this space buy used clothing and toys for kids 0-6, but that it’s also a place for parents and their kids to interact, relax, and connect. It’s about making the shopping experience just that— an experience. Happily Wear After has a cozy book nook for parents and kids to read in; a changing table and quiet zones; and space to shop and play.

Since I focus on fashion in my posts, here’s what Happily Wear After’s policies are on resale: “all clothes [must] be freshly laundered with no rips, tears, excessive wear, or stains. In general (sometimes there are exceptions), we do not accept brands such as Circo, Faded Glory, Cherokee, Just One, Sprockets, Green Dog, and other similar brands from similar retailers.”

Interested? Then visit them today at 1389 E. Washington Blvd. or at http://www.happilywearafter.com. (Note: they’re closed on Mondays.)
