For some reason I have yet to write about OSKA, a clothing store in Old Pasadena with Asian-inspired silhouettes. I have walked by this store numerous times, since it’s along the alley leading towards Anthropologie. Which means I must have had my blinders on to everything else around me.

I’m glad they finally fell off right at OSKA’s door. Because the clothing here is beautiful. Their shapes are simple; materials are luxe; and styles are casual yet elegant. “OSKA designs let you feel good. Comfortable and flexible fits give you freedom to move,” writes their website. “The design is based on continuity. It is inspired by trends, but remains true to its line. It can be mixed and matched in many ways, also with other collections.” Sounds pretty awesome, no?

With stores all over the world—France, Spain, Germany, Amsterdam—it’s pretty amazing they’ve set up shop right here in Old Pasadena. And while the weather outside is still HOT (come on, fall. We need you.), inside, the store is a sea of coziness. This year’s collection is full of “foggy shades of grey,” “soft winter colors,” “vivid digital prints,” and “hues of matte green…shades of forest…warm, feminine, natural, and taupe tones combined with cinnamon and woolen white accentuated by muted shades of rose and heather.”

Can we say beautiful?

Yes, prices are high. HIGH. But from all I’m learning about their color palate, material choices, and elegant lines, it seems well worth it. We’re talking $349 for a crisp white blouse. For their cotton-neoprene double-jersey jacket, be ready to shell out $819. But it’s weather ready—with a hood, zipper, and pockets—and versatile with a drawstring at the hips so you can change the coats silhouette.
