Denim

One of the hardest things to shop for? Jeans. Am I right? Not only can they be unforgiving, they can also be expensive. Thankfully, however, retailers are understanding our plight and are offering a wide range of styles for a wide range of prices.

This spring, I’m looking to fill my jean wardrobe with a few of spring’s latest trends. On a budget. Here are the three styles I’m looking to shop and the places I’ll be shopping for them.

White denim—I have yet to find the perfect white jeans. They can be so—revealing. Especially skinny white jeans. But there’s something so classic, so chic, so versatile about white denim. Dress them up; dress them down; pair them with sweaters; tank tops; silk; cotton. You name it, white denim goes with it. And yet, who wants to spend high prices for anything white?

Old Navy offers several pairs of white jeans, all under $60. Mid-rise, high-rise, curvy, straight, or skinny, Old Navy has you covered.

GAP too has slightly higher priced white denim but still affordable at under $90. I’m digging their straight distressed jeans and their mid-rise girlfriend jeans (easy through the hip and thigh, please.)

Embroidered denim—I love a statement piece, especially when it’s paired with denim. Throw on a pair of statement jeans with a tee? Boom. Easiest spring outfit every. Yet, these trendy jeans can be pricey. Luckily, Zara has you covered. Love these pearl embroidered grey jeans for under $50. Or these high-rise straight jeans with a bold red stripe for $45.50.

LOFT is another great place to find trendy pieces for less. And their denim is no exception. These modern floral embroidered skinny crop jeans are under $80 and perfect for spring.

Abercrombie and Fitch’s low-rise ankle jeans are embroidered with adorable florals and under $90.

Raw hem—there’s something so fresh about denim with an interesting hem line. Like these uneven hemmed jeans from Zara for $45.50.  Or these fun fringed hemmed ones for under $50.

i’m also loving Target’s Universal Thread’s line of denim—especially these raw hem straight legged jeans for under $30.
