You know that I love to wax-poetic about Anthropologie, all day every day. It’s a gorgeous store, where clothing is ethereal; home decor is vintage inspired; and accessories are just sort of magic. But you know this already.

What you might not know, people from Pasadena, is our very own Old Pasadena Anthropologie now offers personal pickup. “Now you can shop and order what you love online, and pick it up for free,” writes Anthropologie to its Instagram followers. “So long, shipping. Hello, convenience.”

Can we say, hurray??

Before you start clicking, however, be sure to double check if an item is available for personal pickup. (Look it up in the “find in a store” tool next to “ratings and reviews” on each item’s page.) For instance. I adore their new Boiled Wool Sweater Coat (drapey but structured at the same time in a variety of colors; and? With a hood.) I selected my size then hit the “Find in a store” tab. After inputting my zip code, it showed me its availability to order online and pick up in either their Pasadena or Americana at Brand store.

Genius.

Now, I can shop from the comfort of my own home, order items I love at Anthropologie, and not. Pay. Shipping. According to their website, once you purchase the item online, “[y]ou will receive a notification email(s) when the item(s) below is ready for pickup at your selected store.” Be sure to bring the confirmation email and a valid ID. You’ve got 2-3 days to pick up your items in store. Nice thing is? If you decide to pass, you won’t be charged.

This also works for home decor, accessories, shoes, you name it. During the holidays, Anthropologie gets busy. So to order last minute presents, Thanksgiving decor, or hostess gifts without the hassle of the busy crowd or the extra cost of shipping, sounds pretty much perfect.
