Some of Pasadena’s great residential architecture is in Annandale, along the Arroyo Seco, Grand Avenue, San Rafael Boulevard and many of the smaller streets in between.
Part of Annandale’s homes are on the west side of the Arroyo Seco, and include expensive homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. This area is somewhat isolated from the rest of Pasadena but has access via several bridges over the Arroyo Seco. Johnson Lake is surrounded by private homes here.
