The early owners in the Casa Grande neighborhood were retired folks, professional people, contractors, skilled workers, and ranchers. The overwhelming majority of the homes built here were constructed between 1921 and 1930 — a period of enormous growth in Pasadena as well as throughout Southern California. Some architects and designers of note were at work here, the most distinguished ones include: Sylvanus B. Marston, B. Marshall Wotkyns, Cyril Bennett/Bennett & Haskell, Buchanan & Brockwav, Glen Elwood Smith, Fred P. Telling. Wallace Neff, Henry M. Greene and others. Many of these works are still standing. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient.
