Readers, you know how much I adore Target’s latest brands, right? Over the past year, the retailer has launched Goodfellow & Co., Heart and Hand with Magnolia, and A New Day, aimed at working-to-weekending adults.
“We have an opportunity to better connect with younger guests,” says Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Target. “So we’ve gone all-in, working with hundreds of teens and young adults across the country to listen, learn and ultimately create new brands that deliver amazing style, quality, value—and that special spark of joy—like only Target can.”
This resulted in two new brands—Original Use for young men and Wild Fable for young women.
For the men, Original Use is a street-style collection that encourages young men to define their personal style. Think Urban Outfitters with Target prices. Every piece is under $40 and feels hip, young, and on-trend. Track jackets, jogger pants, a reversible kimono bomber jacket, funky prints, destructed jeans, graphic tees, and more. If you’re an adventurous guy, this line is for you. All pieces come in regular to big and tall sizes.
For the women, Wild Fable is a trendy collection that offers young women the mix-and-match wardrobe of their dreams. Like Original Use, this line resembles the feel of Urban Outfitters with the price tag of Target. All items are $40 and under. Find bold colors; interesting cuts; funky florals; cropped sweatshirts, and more. If you’re a trend-seeking gal, this line is for you. Sizes range from 0 to 26W.
But wait, there’s more. Along with researching what young guests want in clothes, Target discovered what young guests want in their shopping experience as well. And they want exactly that—an experience.
“Think compelling, curated in-store displays so guests can touch, feel, mix and match pieces to create a complete look. Mannequins dressed for a casual hangout or going out with friends. A digital experience that seamlessly connects to what guests are seeing in-store. Photos—and looks—created by guests on Target.com.
