The Pasadena POPS will celebrate the best of The Beatles on Saturday, August 4, at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. Back by popular demand, Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles will bring the timeless hits of the Fab Four to life with a fresh list of favorites and a special tribute to the 50th anniversary of the White Album.
The Classical Mystery Tour performers include Jim Owen (John Lennon), Tony Kishman (Paul McCartney), Tom Teeley (George Harrison) and Doug Cox (Ringo Starr). The quartet looks and sounds just like The Beatles, with unforgettable music and costumes. However, Classical Mystery Tour is more than just a rock concert. The show presents more than two dozen Beatles tunes transcribed note-for-note and performed with a full orchestra – like you’ve never heard them before.
The concert will be held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia. The grounds will open for picnicking and dining at 5:30 pm and the performance will begin at 7:30 pm. You have the option of dining in spacious circular tables with fine linens, or of choosing lawn seating for your own blankets and low back chairs. You can bring your own picnic or purchase food and drink from the food trucks and from two full beverage centers serving fine wines, beer, coffee and soft drinks.
The Arboretum is located at 301 North Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA. All concertgoers enjoy free parking at the adjacent Westfield Santa Anita shopping center with complimentary non-stop shuttle service to the Arboretum’s main entrance. Tickets start at $25 and are available by calling the box office at (626)-793-7172, online at PasadenaSymphony-Pops.org, or at the Arboretum on the day of the concert.
