Dine LA is currently going 10 years strong this July 13-27. To celebrate the occasion, the upcoming 15 days of dining deals includes the opportunity to win a Golden Dish, the prize of which is 100,000 American Airline miles. The event tends to make restaurants pretty crowded, especially on already busy weekends so be sure to make a reservation if anything pops out.
The last few Dine LA have included some extra luxe touches, courtesy of a partnership with American Express in which many of the city’s classiest joints create menus exclusively available for Dine LA. The Dine LA Exclusive Series covers the breadth and width of LA County, but closer to home you can enjoy Alexander’s Steakhouse. The six-course meal is a $119 a person, and you can add supplements as well.
Over at The Langham, the elegant Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse is also part of the Exclusive Series. The multi-course menu gradually builds to a steak entrée followed by a riff on a cheese course and ending with a summery peach cobbler.
On the hand, if you’re not feeling up to a splurge, you can find plenty of other great deals for lunch and dinner around town.
For example, you can enjoy the ambience of The Langham by checking out the deals at The Terrace for lunch and dinner. Lunch includes a choice of sandwich, salad or tacos followed by dessert. Dinner is a 3-course affair of summer dishes, including those that will make many vegetarians very happy.
At Celestino, the Italian restaurant with an impressive pedigree, you can find both lunch and dinner specials. The $25 3-course lunch includes a choice of soup, salad or appetizer followed by pasta, gnocchi or pork loin and finishing with dessert. The restaurant is also serving a 3-course dinner menu for $39 featuring three different choices of appetizers, entrees and desserts.
Craving sushi? Check out Sugarfish or Roku for menus.
And if you feel like getting out of town without going too far, over in South Pasadena Crossings and Shiro are participating. Or check out a few places in Arcadia and Alhambra as well.
