The Paseo to host 26th annual Pasadena Chalk Festival

April 13, 2018 By Dena Burroughs Leave a Comment

Here’s a save-the-date for your calendar. On Father’s Day weekend, The Paseo, together with the Light Bringer Project, will host the 26th annual Pasadena Chalk Festival. The 2018 event, which will explore the history and impact of the centuries-old artistry of street painting, will feature the impressive work of nearly 600 dedicated and talented chalk artists, who will use more than 25,000 sticks of pastel chalk to create hundreds of life-sized murals. With no admission cost and open to the public, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days and is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors. There will also be live music and a children’s chalkland (from noon to 5 p.m. each day) where children will be able to display their own creative talents making Father’s Day cards while interacting with a balloon artist and face painter. Other events throughout the weekend will include:

*Pasadena Police Classic Car Show
*Animation Alley showcasing chalk artists’ signature work
*Chalk of Fame featuring movie-themed chalk art near ArcLight Pasadena
*Artist Gallery offering affordable small painted canvases and other merchandise for sale
*Art Gallery & Silent Auction
*Live Music & Entertainment
*Artist Awards Ceremony

Father’s Day Weekend falls this year on June 16-17. The Children’s Chalkland will be set up near El Cholo Restaurant, and the Classic Car Show (on June 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. only) will be on Green Street. The Paseo is full of stores, restaurants, and one of the nicest movie theaters in the area. Here you have a perfect opportunity and location for a day-long Father’s Day celebration. Plan ahead!

The Paseo is located at 300 East Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, CA 91101. You can find more information at thepaseopasadena.com/

Plumbid – a new and innovative way to market and sell your home!

Thanks for reading about our Pasadena Chalk Festival! On another matter, how would you like a way to get 12% or more over asking price for your home? We recently sold a private view home for that amount over the list price because of the Plumbid bidding process. And buyers were solid — we made sure they were fully qualified and informed about the property before they could bid. Check here, or call or text the deFazio’s for more information at 626-825-9955.And, if you are moving to Pasadena, we can help you. With more than 50 years of combined experience, we know the territory and can find the best property for you.
