October is breast cancer awareness month and retail stores have gone all in to bring this awareness to its customers. Huzzah!
Founded in 1985, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month aims to promote mammography as the best tool to use in the fight against breast cancer. Corporations and businesses alike are raising funds and increasing awareness through events, charities, and their merchandise. Which means? Time to get shopping!
Like at Ann Taylor—“We believe in a world without breast cancer. And this October, we’re coming together to help make that happen.” The retail store then gives easy ways to get involved, including shopping with their Ann Taylor Cares Card (90% of its purchase price will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation) and donating directly online.
LOFT too has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and has raised nearly $33 million for BCRF since 2007. This year, they’re giving customers three easy ways to help donate—buying a Loft Cares Card (where, just like Ann Taylor, 90% of its purchase price goes towards the BCRF), shopping their jewelry collection, and donating online.
Other company’s involved with BCRF, whose mission is “to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research,” include GAP, Tory Burch, Kendra Scott, Ulta, Coach, and Land’s End.
Shop some of my favorites below:
- This pink Tory Burch Parker Chain Wallet is as cute as it gets. Plus, 20% of the purchase price ($298) goes towards BCRF.
- LOFT’s Layered Stone Necklace, featuring semiprecious stones. And 60% of the purchase price will be donated to BCRF.
- Love these GAPFIT + GAPBODY leggings in black and pink, where BCRF will receive 15% of the purchase price.
- This Bobbi Brown Pink Peony Illuminating Bronzing Powder Set may be $55, but $11 from that (up to $90,000) will be given to BCRF.
