Mother’s Day is just around the corner. If you’re like me and haven’t made official plans yet, then get going. Brunch is a super popular time to celebrate the occasion, but by keeping your schedule flexible you can also enjoy a lovely lunchtime picnic or decadent dinner with mom. Check out the places around town where you just might be able to still get a table:
The Langham is a perfect spot to celebrate Mother’s Day because it has so many different venues and options to make Mother’s Day a perfectly elegant and indulgent occasion. If you need a gift, they have deals on spa treatments for moms and a mani/pedi offer so that you and mom can get fancied up. And they also have more than a few ways to enjoy a meal with mom. You can enjoy a special brunch in the ballroom or try the Dim Sum brunch in The Terrace. The Royce also has a special brunch or go for a special afternoon tea with all the elegance and opulence of the special occasion.
Maison Akira is skipping its usual buffet brunch in favor of a special Mother’s Day Brunch that will definitely fill up hungry tummies. The prix fixe menu has a large variety of options with a couple of supplements that will satisfy a gourmet mom’s taste buds.
If you will be a large multi-generational group, a more casual spot may be better for you. Over at Green Street Tavern, you’ll be able to enjoy some of the restaurant’s California focused grill items like veggie filled salads, classic burgers and Benedicts for a reasonable $25/per person. Green Street Tavern is one of the city’s favorite spots so be sure to call ahead for a reservation.
Over at Sorriso, you’ll find a lavish buffet brunch option complete with seafood, carving and dessert stations and complimentary mimosas for moms. It’s a good blend of both traditional brunch items like French toast and egg items along with less traditional options like oysters and poke and many dishes with a Latin flavor.
Wherever you celebrate, here’s to moms!
