So, spring is coming. I’m not ready to say goodbye to one of my favorite seasons, winter. (I know. I’m probably in the vast minority of loving fall and winter.) But I thought I’d write a little pre-spring post to get us (mostly me) excited about the transition into warmer days and fresher outfits, sans multiple layers.
As usual, retail has been peppering spring lines into their stores and sites lately. With spring colors; spring shapes; spring materials. And, while I adore the wools and layers of fall/winter, there is something romantic and yummy about spring. It’s a breath of fresh air, if you will. I’ve noticed lots of flowiness, interesting shapes, embroidery, crops, ruffles, cold shoulders, and stripes. All of which gets me excited for next season.
I’m especially loving all the embroidery on everything. Jackets, dresses, shirts, jeans, you name it. Recently, I snatched up a black velvet embroidered bomber jacket from Anthropologie and I’m in love. It’s a statement piece and doesn’t require much effort to wear. A win-win in my book. But I’m digging embroidered jeans. Like with their floral embroidery and slouchy look. (Cool, here, is an understatement.)
I’m also loving embroidered sweaters. Or rather, sweatshirts. Because an embroidered sweatshirt is pretty much the perfect spring item, no? Comfy and cozy for those chilly mornings; but stylish and on point with the embroidered details. Like . Cute, colorful, and extremely cozy.
TJMAXX too is killing it with the embroidered details. From budget friendly items to marked down designer pieces, there’s something here for everyone. Loving . Fun and flirty and ready for spring. Or? . It’s breezy and springy and perfect for warmer days. (The top is a little sheer, so slip it over a tank and you’re good to go!)
Embroidery details have got me excited for spring—what about you?
