Who wants to wait until fall to start trying out new trends? Not I. And the best way to ease your way into the coming styles is to start small. Like? With your nails. If you’re anything like me, a fresh manicure can make an outfit feel new. Change your color and poof! You’ve got a new look.
Ready for fall’s nail trends you can start wearing now?
Colors — red. That’s right. Classic red is still very much on-trend. It’s as timeless as black pumps and a pearl necklace but feels fresh with a boho top and colorful kicks.
Layers — a new take on the French manicure is one of fall’s latest looks. Using? Varying coral colors instead of the classic pink and white.
Space — negative space, that is. Use a popular fall color for your base—but leave a sliver of nail space exposed; either rectangular or in a swirl pattern.
Pattern — using a nude nail polish as your base, paint on delicate graphic shapes in black for a geometric look.
Dark — super dark is a go this fall. But give those black nails a change by wearing dark plums and deep greens instead.
Blacks — instead of using black as an all over color, use it to top off your nails. Zig-zag it over red or paint half moons over a taupe.
Metallics — all I can say is, yas. Love that wearing metallics has traveled to your nails.
So whether you give yourself a manicure or head to one of Pasadena’s fantastic nail salons (like Bellacures in Old Pasadena or Olive & June on South Lake Ave.), be sure to try out one of fall’s nail trends today. And give your summer wardrobe a dose of fall.
