EAT SEE HEAR is a series of outdoor movie screenings traveling throughout Los Angeles that on two upcoming dates will stop at Centennial Square, outside Pasadena City Hall.
This Saturday, July 23, at 8:30 p.m., the film “500 Days of Summer” (PG-13) will be screened, preceded by the music of the band “Dutch Party” at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and a number of food trucks will be readily available with their tempting grubs.
The event will be back August 6, when the movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” (G) will be screened at 8:30 p.m., and will follow the music of “State to State,” performing at 7 p.m. Food trucks will again wait for you as early at 5:30 p.m.
As Pasadena residents who have gone to concerts and other events at the Square, we know the drill – bring blankets, pillows, and low-back chairs to get comfortable over grass and/or concrete areas. If you must bring a tall chair please set camp towards the back, so that everyone can see the movie comfortably. Food is allowed, but one of this event’s key intentions is to introduce you to the food truck options, so, why not play along and come in hungry and with an adventurous spirit.
A few more logistics – the only entrance will be at Marengo Ave. Your dogs can come too. Tickets into the film range $8 to $21 and can be purchased by following this link.
EAT SEE HEAR will also be doing film screenings at The Autry at Griffith Park, at La Cienega Park in Beverly Hills, and at the Santa Monica High School Amphitheater. If you are interested in any of those locations visit EATSEEHEAR.COM for details.
Sounds like fun? We think so. See you at the movies!
