Pasadena is revving up to food festival season, kicking with a couple of local food and beverage events in the next couple of weeks. First, try something highly alcoholic at Lucky Baldwin’s, a local and favorite pub with locations at both ends of Pasadena. Then, make a reservation so that you don’t miss out on Pasadena Restaurant Week.
Lucky Baldwin’s High Alcohol Beer Fest is being held at both Pasadena locations for Lucky Baldwin’s. High alcohol beers tend to be unusual and made in limited batches. The Beer Fest involves beers from breweries large and small and special discounts if you keep your glass to keep drinking at the event. Check out the website for updates on the event and additions to the growing list of high alcohol beers available at each location. The event starts April 16 and continues through April 24.
Pasadena Restaurant Week kicks of on Sunday, April 24 and runs until Friday, April 29 so that you can enjoy special deals every night of the week. MyLife.com named Pasadena the best mid-sized city for dining in the country and Pasadena Restaurant Week showcases why. At the official Pasadena Restaurant Week website you can find all the details, including a growing list of participating restaurants, a link to make reservations and the special menus. You can also download an app for chances to win prizes.
So far, the list of restaurants includes local favorites such as Green Street Restaurant, Sushi Roku, Bistro 45, Kathleen’s, El Cholo or Seco New American. You can also discover new places like Madeline Garden Bistro or Bacchus’ Kitchen, Chef Claud’s newest Pasadena restaurant.
Both lunch and dinner prix fixe menus are available, although some establishments only offer one or the other. As the event gets closer, more information and more restaurants will be added to the website. If you have specific questions, it is best to check with the restaurant directly.
Prices range from two course lunch meals at $15, $20 or $25 and three course dinner menus at $27, $36 or $45. Depending on the restaurant, and the type of cuisine, prices may vary slightly with additional options and add-ons available.
