December is here, the holidays around the corner, and it is time for all of us to get in the proper spirit. A perfect way to get your family in the mood for Christmas will be attending the production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at A Noise Within (ANW), which will play for 18 performances starting December 5 and continuing through December 23.
This is a colorful and festive play, full of music and dance. It you happen to be feeling “scrooge-ish” yourself, it will fix your attitude right up. In front of your eyes a most grouchy Mr. Scrooge will transform into an appreciative uncle that finally gets the importance of family ties and ensures himself a happier future. You are bound to go home happy and perhaps even singing “Glorious,” a lovely song that is part of the play. Mr. Dickens said it well: “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”
This is the fourth consecutive year that ANW presents this timeless holiday classic.
“Remounting our acclaimed presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol allows families to once again take a supremely theatrical journey and celebrate the transformative power of forgiveness during the holidays,” says Artistic Director Geoff Elliott, who also fabulously plays the part of Ebenezer Scrooge.
A Christmas Carol at A Noise Within is appropriate for all ages, 90-minutes long without an intermission. Single tickets start at $48.00. Click here for further details and to purchase tickets. There is a Student Rush $20 ticket (with I.D.) sold at the box office an hour before each performance.
