Whether it feels like it or not, fall is here and winter is coming. Which means? Our skin and beauty routine might need a change. Enter, Lather. Located on Colorado Blvd in Old Pasadena, Lather is a one-stop-shop for all your skin pampering needs. Their mission? “To offer a superior body care experience by creating products using the highest quality, effective natural ingredients, and providing exceptional services that not only treat the skin but educate the consumer,” writes its website.
The company began in 1999 with a desire to “inspire a healthier, more radiant life.” Today, it continues to do just that. Their products are environmentally friendly; their fragrances and colors are synthetic-free; and their emphasis on the customer is spot on. Lather gives back to the community by partnering with Clean the World, providing people in need with soap, and National Headache Foundation, helping those suffering from headaches and migraines, among others.
Plus, the list of their products is extensive. From face and body treatments to hair, soap, and aromatherapy items, Lather provides the customer with everything they need to maintain a “more radiant life.”
Let’s start with the face. For $12, snatch up the charcoal and tea tree cleansing bar. The bar is “designed for normal to oily skin” and is great for “blemish-prone skin.” The tea tree oil is soothing, while the aroma is fresh and stimulating. A win-win, no? Favorites of mine include their cucumber milk facial cleanser ($19); gentle eye makeup remover ($14); and a honey moisture mask with propolis extract ($22). Each is made with the healthiest ingredients and priced well for my pocketbook.
For the body, they’ve got everything from lotion and body scrub to body creme, body wash, and body whip. Again, prices range from $19-$21. And again, their ingredients are healthy and their flavors are natural (and sound delicious—sugar cane body buff; cranberry sugar rub; almond creme body buff. Can we say, yum?).
Hair treatment I’m most excited about. Like many of you out there, I’m a blowdryer, ironer and know my hair needs some help. Lather has us covered. They’ve got shampoo, creme rinse, hair repair, moisture mend, leave-in conditioner, you name it. I’m especially eager to try their avocado mint hair repair—for just $16, “this deep-conditioning hair treatment provides intensive moisture therapy to restore strength and shine to dry and damaged hair.” Yes!
And the list doesn’t end there. Lather offers aromatherapy kits, shaving products, candles, body brushes, and more. Visit Lather to update your fall and winter skin routine today!
