A Taste of Old Pasadena on September 15 allows diners to sample dining establishments in Old Pasadena and the opportunity to give back a little something.
Currently in it’s 24th year, A Taste of Old Pasadena is a charitable event held by the Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors Charitable Foundation. Tickets cost $30 and you can stop by any of the participating restaurants and eateries for a taste of their offerings and be assured that the proceeds of the event are going to a good cause: local charities that benefit the community.
Basically, what you get is a sample of a whole lot of different places, from full out restaurants to faster food options to desserts. And in exchange for your ticket, the community benefits from generous foodies like yourself. Each place you visit on the walking tour of Old Pasadena’s varied dining establishments will have a map to lead you to your next bite of goodness. This year’s roster of participants includes:
-All India Cafe
-Hot Wings Cafe
-iX Tapa Cantina
-Spinfish Poke House
-The Dog Bakery
-The Pie Hole
-Waffles de Liege
-White Horse Lounge
Tickets have to be purchased in advance and more info on that can be found at http://www.pfarcf.org or you can call 626.795.2455. If you get a large crowd together and buy 10 tickets, two tickets are free.
On the site, you can check out photos of past events as well as other upcoming events that the organization holds throughout the year. Charities that have benefited from donations from PFARCF events in the past range from local PTA’s to youth foundations to senior citizens centers that help to improve the community and create future good citizens.
And because it’s a walking tour, you’re sure to burn the calories of whatever delicious delights the eateries have in store.
