The Pasadena Symphony and POPS 2015 summer season finale, on Saturday, September 12, will pay tribute to the glitz and glamour of the Oscars with “A Night at the Movies!” The program will include music from classics like Singing in the Rain, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Wizard of Oz, Lullaby of Broadway, and more.
Joining the orchestra will be Sheléa Frazier, a rising star who has performed with legends like Stevie Wonder and Brian McKnight, plus Tony and Grammy nominee Jeremy Jordan, star of Broadway’s Newsies and the NBC hit series Smash. The evening promises a list of surprises such as a chorus, tap dancers and a parade of vintage Hollywood costumes.
The concert will be held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. Grounds will open for picnicking and dining at 5:30 p.m. and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m. There will be free parking at the adjacent Westfield Santa Anita shopping center with complimentary shuttle service to the Arboretum’s main entrance.

Moonlight Sonata – September 26 at Ambassador Gardens
