There’s something rather luxurious to me about fancy sleepwear. Spending money on soft pajamas, delicate bras, frilly rompers–items that most likely will never leave your house or be seen by more than you (or a spouse). Luxurious. But I love the splurge. Especially since some of my favorite stores in Old Pasadena sell such adorable pieces. You probably know my go-to shops well by now: Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21. Each store sells sweet sleepwear at a range of prices. Let’s peruse them below.
Yes, sleepwear here is a splurge. But the details, the colors, the materials all make these items worth it. So far, I’ve purchased two chemises and an adorable swingy coverup. And when I put one on at night, I feel etherial, like an Anthropologie night fairy. My current favorites are their swiss dot chemise in white–a fresh, bohemian fit for $78; their Linnette tap shorts–floral print, slouchy fit with a scalloped edge; and the Eberjey Eavan sleep set–a summer version of a pajama set with short sleeves and short bottoms in a tiny graphic or floral print ($138).
One of the best new places I’ve discovered for intimates is Urban Outfitters. Perfectly priced; perfectly delicate; perfectly perfect. Like their bras. They’re dainty, lacey, and colorful–and priced between $18-29, depending on style. Their undies too are a steal. Pick out 5 for $25; anything from adorable graphic prints and solid colors with lace details to boyshorts and bikini shapes, Urban Outfitters has it all.
Probably the best bang for your buck, obviously. Intimates and underwear for under $20? Yes, please! I’m loving their long night shirts with fun prints, stripes, and graphics–like their Paris great idea nightdress–red stripes and an Eiffel Tower for only $12.90; and their PJ sets for under $13. For the prices, you can leave the store with several new sleepwear options. And wear something new every night of the week.
