Los Angeles is quickly becoming a dining destination and the city of Pasadena plays a big role in bringing in the foodies, thanks to the amazing selection of restaurants we have in town. Luckily, you don’t have to be from out of town to take advantage of the great deals that are available during DineLA’s Summer Restaurant Week. From South Pasadena to Old Pasadena, check out these spots:
Formerly the Wild Thyme Cafe, Canoe House is the new vision of the owners and brings island flavor inland. Choose from a $15 2-course lunch or head over for a $30 3-course dinner. For lunch you can opt for an app or dessert to go with your light entree, whereas for dinner it’s a more full meal deal with both an app and dessert and a larger selection of entrees. Check out the Restaurant Week Menu.
Also in South Pasadena is Shiro. Always on the pricey side, the Restaurant Week menu is too, but it’s also a great deal for the consistently highly ranked restaurant. Available for dinner only, for $50 you get a choice of app, entree and dessert and the option to add on a wine pairing for a very reasonable $15. See the Restaurant Week Menu.
For an elegant lunch or dinner, head over The Langham Hotel. Both The Terrace and The Royce are participating in Restaurant Week and The Terrace has options for both lunch and dinner that won’t break the bank. As always, The Royce is definitely pricier but manages to be one of the most avant-garde places to dine, so worth checking out for Restaurant Week if you haven’t already been. Check out the Restaurant Week menus here and here.
If you haven’t yet had a chance to try the newly reinvented White Horse Lounge, Restaurant Week is a good time to stop by. For Restaurant Week, White Horse Lounge is offering a dinner menu with their own spins on classics like mac n’ cheese with chile peppers and bacon and a Cobb salad with Brussel sprouts. For a main, there are short rib tacos, turkey burgers and a chicken sandwich and for dessert choose from deep fried Twinkies (a fair favorite) or a more classic crème brulee. The $40 deal even looks to include a choice of craft cocktail. The special menu can be found here.
Lasting nearly two weeks, from July 13-26, you should be able to check a few places off your list.
