Modern, clean, and expensive, Pasadena’s latest furniture shop Roche Bobois offers a fresh take on home decor. Yes, the store just opened on Green Street in Old Pasadena, but the company’s been around since 1950. Today, it’s considered “as the world leader of high end furniture design and distribution, in addition to its elite positioning as a pioneer creator.”
I walked by this store at night and bam—it was a colorful and bright explosion of modern design. My eyes danced from item to item; from the multi-patterened couches and brightly woven rugs to the sleek black leather chairs and minimalistic lamps, Roche Bobois is more like a showcase room than a place to purchase. However, you can purchase here. Prices are a bit elusive (online at least), which doesn’t bode well to the budget-friendly buyer. But these pieces are investments, like art.
More than amazing furniture, Roche Bobois offers interior decoration advice, financing, registries, and warranties, among other things. Their designers are knowledgable (and talented—works displayed in exhibits all over the world); financing is flexible; and warranties are lengthy (10 years for manufacturing defects). Making purchases here worth the price.
So why did Roche Bobois, which has stores all over the world, select our little big city of Old Pasadena? According to the company’s Southern California Regional Manager Matthieu Pascalin, “We are thrilled to open a new showroom in Pasadena, as we feel the city’s vibrant blend of tradition and modernization is seamlessly aligned with the Roche Bobois brand.”
Don’t wait a minute longer. Head over to 33 West Green St to view this remarkable showroom today.
