Sometimes it’s just too much effort to get in the car and go out to eat. Even leaving the house for takeout can seem like a burden when it’s too hot…or too cloudy. Luckily, Pasadena’s food scene delivers more than just pizza. A quick search reveals that many of Pasadena’s favorite eateries and restaurants will deliver right to your door, no matter what cuisine you might be craving.
Have a taste for kebab? Then for a minimum order of $30 and delivery fee of $3, Upick will head over to drop off kebabs, dips, salads, sandwiches and sweets. Perfect for when unplanned guests arrive and you don’t feel like leaving the house.

One of my favorite things to do in New York is order Chinese food delivery, just like they did so often on Seinfeld. Apparently the trend has caught on the West Coast as well because Grandview Palace now offers online ordering and delivery. Grandview Palace has been a standby of Chinese food in Pasadena for years and old customers as well as new ones are loving the delivery option.

If you happen to be on the paleo diet or are looking to try it, Elite Eats offers a breakfast, lunch and delivery service. Although many people love the results the Paleo diet offers, many complain that it is too complex and too difficult to do all that cooking. I haven’t looked into it myself, but I’ve also heard that eating a paleo-friendly diet can be pretty pricey and pretty complicated so having a delivery service that does all the thinking for you and all the work sounds like a great way to try it or at least cut down on some of your workload, if not the expense.
Chao Doi Thai Restaurant is another local place that has hopped on the online ordering and home delivery bandwagon, to the delight of Pasadena dwellers. Whether you want something homey and rich like Pad Thai or a refreshing salad and slush, the $20 delivery minimum is easy to hit.
A simple Yelp search gives you the best places to find delivery around town, although I haven’t personally tried the ordering systems, it sounds like a great solution to the lazy nights where a trip out just seems like too much to bear. Here’s one link to some nice Lake Avenue restaurants too. Cross reference with Yelp for delivery options — http://aroundtownpasadena.com/?p=6154
