The great thing about living in a food town is that new places to try are constantly popping up. Here is a look at some of the newest places in town, from conceptual fast food to a national chain that just hit Southern California.
A Panda Express opening doesn’t exactly scream excitement on the food radar, but the new Panda Express that just opened is actually Panda Express Innovation Kitchen, according to Eater. This version isn’t just your typical grab and go, it’s nicely appointed and has a lot of the same treats and delights that can be found in the surrounding San Gabriel Valley, including a tea bar with boba and grass jelly as well as a wrap station a la Chiptole.

You can now get ramen over in South Pasadena at Modan Artisanal Ramen. A small place inside the Bristol Farms shopping center, the place promises good things. The easy-to-understand menu features various ramens and small dishes as well as a dessert of green tea ice cream with intriguing-sound ramen brittle topping.

It’s not open yet, but Eater reports that a Del Frisco’s Grille will be coming to the swanky South Lake neighborhood. Del Frisco’s Grille is a national chain that recently opened a location in Santa Monica and serves brunch, lunch and dinner. The menu is vast and includes spins on classic favorites as well as items that are unique to each location. We will report further on that opening as we get more details.
