Some new things are coming to Old Town Pasadena. Most importantly, some new clothing stores. Thank goodness!
First up is Vince. This twelve-year-old clothing brand caters to both men and women (that’s right, men) and features a “collection of iconic essentials that women and men would want to wear every day with a focus on distinctive design, enduring style and uncompromising quality,” writes Vince’s website. This sleek, chic boutique began as a women’s knit and cashmere sweater collection and soon grew into a worldwide, multi-channel brand. Now, items include everything from denim and ready-to-wear pieces to footwear and accessories.
Coming: TBA Location: Armani Exchange’s old spot on Colorado Blvd, near One Colorado. Website: Vince
Second? Athleta. Part of the GAP-Banana Republic-Old Navy corporation, Athleta caters to women in motion (their tag line is Power to the She, after all). Whether you adore yoga, running, swimming, tennis, or just dressing as if you do, Athleta has you covered. The brand was created in 1998, acquired by Gap Inc in 2008, and dressing women athletes ever since. Plus, word is, these stores offer in-store fitness classes and in-store performance stylists.
Coming: Spring 2014 Location: American Apparel’s old spot on Colorado Blvd, right next to Apple. Website: Athleta
And third on the list is (possibly) lululemon. Now, I know what you’re thinking. This is an old favorite in Old Pasadena. However, this small store is rumored to be moving across the street and into the vacant Barnes & Noble. Not taking up the entire space, of course. (The rumored plan there is the large store will split into several storefronts.) But possibly gaining some well-deserved square footage. With more space, comes more amazing product. Yes, please!
Coming: TBA Location: Possibly part of the vacant Barnes & Noble on Colorado Blvd. (although other rumors indicate this is going to be a Tesla auto showroom.) Website: lululemon
Stay tuned for more detailed posts as each store opens!
