Summer’s near and every kid’s thoughts turn to swimming. Don’t they? We read about Head Above Water recently. They teach swimming to kids six months old and up, and adult with kids together too. They have been doing it since 2002, and have taught thousands of children ages 6 months and up to swim each summer. They teach beginners – if your child is just beginning, or more experienced kids, and tailor each lesson to meet the needs and goals of each child. They apply a gentle approach to make learning to swim fun.
They have a Parent-and-Me program for adults and kids, where their specialists will sing songs, play games, and splash around with your little one as a way to introduce your child to the water and start learning the building blocks of water safety. These can be scheduled as private classes or in groups at your home pool.
We found it amazing that they will come to your pool for private lessons, or they have three heated and private pools in San Marino, South Pasadena and Altadena.
Flexible class schedules are offered including lessons on weekdays and weekends. All instructors are Red Cross trained and certified and have at least 6 years of swim lesson teaching experience.
Spring Promotions running through April 30 include a free swim lesson or some discounts but better to call them for details.
