Exquisite. The one word to describe Place Vendome Jewelry in Old Town Pasadena. Actually, a plethora of words describes this beautiful store, including exclusive, luxurious, expensive, and glam. Interested? Read on.
Nestled in One Colorado’s charming courtyard, Place Vendome opened in Old Town Pasadena in 2004 and showcases its pieces like a gallery–jewelry displayed in glass-front cases; natural light beaming through skylights; open floor plan with leather chairs–as if customers can sit and admire pieces like artwork.
Each item is carefully selected by owners Max Emsallem and Michael Merritt, both who have “an old school attention to craftsmanship with an eye on contemporary style.” Collections consist of exclusive jewelry lines. More specifically, lines range from the old (like Buccellati, an Italian brand that dates back to the 18th century) to the fun (yet luxurious) designs by France’s Jean Marc. Other designers include Lauren K (think diamonds for everyday), Baccarat (shimmering jewels), and Alan Friedman (natural colored diamonds). Like I said, exquisite.
And for the men looking for their own luxury, accessories include watches from the rare and vintage to Rolex and Hermes (ranging between $1,500 and $7,500). Yes, prices run high, but you’d no doubt be purchasing a one-of-a-kind gem.
So, stroll down Hugus Alley in Old Town Pasadena to Place Vendome. It’s a sight to see.
