Gals — if you haven’t heard, The Loved One (TLO) on Holly Street will stay open late this Friday the 13th as part of its last “Gal Friday” of the year. (Since May, Shops on Holly have stayed open from 6pm – 9pm specifically for gals and their pals, offering promotions on items, music, and drinks.) This Friday includes French lace updos and lashes (by Pamela of Blackbyrd), Blushing Santa Punch, 10% off Christmas sweaters, music and more – don’t miss TLO’s last Gal Friday of 2013!
The Loved One was founded in 2009 by Elvia Lahman and Hannah Metz. It began as a vintage wholesale business but quickly opened its own online store and pop-up shops when its unique designs grew in popularity. The store specializes in vintage and American made lingerie; along with clothing, bags, and jewelry. What I love is their personal line, Made by TLO, where pieces are beautifully constructed out of previous vintage clothes. Take the Belted Red Plaid Wool Pinafore for instance. This adorable pinafore was remade from a vintage 70s skirt. (If you’re anything like me, you would have put a high price tag on something so unique and handmade. Guess what? It’s priced at just $48. (A steal!)
The Loved One also features numerous other designers, including American Apparel, BC Footwear, and Dear Creatures. Love the Dear Creatures Blythe Dress, a sweet grey and white stripped dress with capped sleeves and peter pan collar — only $95.
Beautifully unique, delicate and sweet — The Loved One is a Pasadena boutique worth frequenting. Click here for their web page.
