Every year, Pasadena’s Taste of South Lake brings locals and visitors of all ages together to “Celebrate the art of food”. Now, in its eighth year, The Taste will be partying bigger than ever this Saturday the 12th from 11-4 at The Corporate Center Pasadena (251 S. Lake Ave.). This years celebration will be held at the same time as Pasadena’s Art Weekend- and as always, both events are free and open to the public.
Guests are invited to acquaint themselves with South Lake’s bars and restaurants as they stroll the beer and wine garden or tour the food tents. While you’re filling your belly with something fresh squeezed from Lemonade, some authentic Italian from Trattoria Neapolis, and a Winchell’s donut, you can feast your eyes upon live cooking and cocktail demos.
At noon, catch a musical performance from Quetzal Guerrero while he plays the electric blue violin. It’s nonstop music from there as Dustbowl Revival comes on at 1:00 for an hour of get-up-and-dance worthy bluegrass, Dawson’s Gang at 2:00 with country and rock, all leading up to Past Action Heroes, an 80s tribute band to finish off the day.
The best part of living in (or near) a place like Pasadena is the opportunity to have that small-town feel while you get to celebrate art, music, and food of your neighborhood. Get down there nice and early to take advantage of some of the prizes, giveaways, and showcases from local shops!
