For the first time ever, the Rose Bowl is offering guided tours with access to locations rarely available to us. The tours will relive history, taking visitors through the tunnels and hallowed grounds which some of the greatest players, coaches and teams have graced. “There is no shortage of enduring moments at the stadium,” said Rose Bowl General Manager Darryl Dunn. “From the locker rooms to the post-game interview room; the newly renovated premium seating pavilion, the working press boxes and the playing field itself, the stadium is a treasure trove of memorable games, big plays and defining careers.”
A National Historic Landmark built in 1922 and known mainly for the New Year’s Tournament of Roses Football Game, the Rose Bowl Stadium has also earned its World-Class Reputation by hosting five NFL Super Bowl Games, the 1984 Olympic Soccer Matches, the 1994 Men’s World Cup, the 1999 Women’s World Cup, the 2002, 2006 and 2010 BCS National College Football Championship Games and numerous other memorable events over the past eighty plus years.
Public walk-up tours are available at 10AM, noon, 2PM and 4PM Thursday through Sunday. Group tours are offered seven days a week for 20 or more people. For more information or to book a tour, call 626-275-2714.
