Old Pasadena is getting a Farmer’s Market of our own beginning this Sunday, August 4th. From 9am-2pm every Sunday from now on, locals and visitors to the city will have the opportunity to fill their reusable bags with fresh produce and locally made and sourced foodstuffs, right in the heart of Old Town. Which means you can now shop for you, your home, and your pantry all in one place.
To celebrate the new event, free commemorative tote bags will be given away to the first 250 attendees on August 4th only. Not just your usual canvas bag, these bags are made of recycled canvas and designed by local illustrator Paul Rogers.
Like other farmer’s markets throughout Southern California, the Old Pasadena Farmer’s Market will have many local farmers as well as packaged foods and fresh foods to eat as you wander the stalls or to bring home. Some of the vendors on the list include:
• Tenerelli Orchards – organic stone fruit
• Buenrostro & Castellanos Farm – vegetables
• Moua Farms – fruits and vegetables
• Atkins Nursery – citrus
• City Farm – free-range eggs
• Underwood Family Farms – vegetables & more
• Pedro Gallardo – organic avocados
• Mom’s Specialty Foods – hummus & pita breads
• Margarite Greenwood – artisanal jams & chutneys
• Isaebell’s Honey Farm – honey
• Conscious Foods – almond spread & Chai tea
• Diane’s Bakery – fresh bakery items
• Me Gusta Gourmet – homemade tamales
• Messy Jesse’s BBQ – barbecue
• Popcorn-N-More – flavored popcorn & lemonade
